Reverse glitter gradient in gold and red

I’ve not done a reverse glitter gradient before – I’ve only ever done a gradient at the tips end.

To my Chanel Malice manicure, I firstly added some red glitter: Ciaté Enchanted Rose. It was one of the special edition polishes that came in last year’s advent calendar. It was gloopy as anything and I had to thin it down a lot to get it to even apply across the nail. It needs more thinning even now if I were to look to apply it to a full nail.

Then I added Revlon Sequins. This was a freebie at Christmas when you bought three Revlon polishes in Boots. I was so busy placing the large gold glitters of Sequins that the smaller glitters were used up, and the polish on the brush started to dry, meaning I couldn’t get them to go down the nail very much.

So I decided to use Nails Inc Glamour Glitter as well – which is another freebie, that came with November’s Glamour magazine – to extend the glitter down my nails a bit.

I love the look. It’s not particularly seasonally appropriate, but then it STILL doesn’t feel like summer yet here. It would be great for a party or at Christmas.
